Kelcie Jones-Pope School: South Lake Sport: Basketball Highlights: Jones-Pope scored 19 points in South Lake’s 40-37 loss to Lakeview in the St. Clair Shores Holiday Classic on Monday. She had 33 points and 17 rebounds in the Cavaliers’ 52-48 overtime triumph over Lake Shore on Tuesday.

Joe Rosenthal School: Chippewa Valley Sport: Hockey Highlights: A senior defenseman, Rosenthal scored a key goal in Chippewa Valley’s game against Dakota. His coaches say Rosenthal provides the Big Reds with a physical presence on the blue line.

Amber Bennet School: Fraser Sport: Swimming Highlights: Bennett finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:12.25 to help Fraser win the MAC White Division meet.

Alex Francisco School: Dakota Sport: Swimming Highlights: Already a state qualifier in the 100 butterfly, Francisco posted a winning time of 1:54.80 in the 200 freestyle in Dakota’s dual-meet victory over Stevenson.

Damenik Dusevic School: Stevenson Sport: Swimming Highlights: A captain, Dusevic earned three gold medals as Stevenson won the Warren Woods-Tower Titan Relays. A state qualifier last season, Dusevic already has qualified for the MISCA meet in the 100 butterfly.
