Stephanie Penxa School: Regina Sport: Bowling Highlights: A junior, Penxa won the Division 2 individual regional championship at Oak Lanes in Westland. Penxa averaged a 194 for six games, with her highest game a 227. Penxa will compete in the state finals this weekend.

Zach Nagi School: Sterling Heights Sport: Hockey Highlights: Nagi, a senior goalie, made 43 saves to help the Warren-Sterling Unified team defeat Eisenhower 2-0.

Eryn Maday School: Utica Sport: Basketball Highlights: Maday averaged 18.6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals per game while shooting 74 percent from the foul line for Utica this season..

Pat Baruth School: Richmond Sport: Wrestling Highlights: Baruth picked up a 7-5 decision over Liam Grantham at 135 pounds in Richmond’s 24-23 triumph over Dundee in the Division 3 state finals.

Constandine Constandache School: Utica Sport: Swimming Highlights: Constandache won the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.01 seconds at the MAC Blue Division meet. He also finished third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.30 seconds.

Dominic Cattera School: Richmond Sport: Wrestling Highlights: Cattera recorded a 6-4 decision over Nate Wade at 112 pounds in Richmond’s 24-23 victory over Dundee in the Division 3 state finals.
